Governments are broke. They can't borrow money and have a huge fiscal
debt/deficit problem. So huge, they will not talk about it publically.
Government is in essense in a fiscal war with years of corrupt currency and
debt mismanagement and the pressures to correct the credit-debt junkie
attitude are mounting. Current DC would be like California issuing IOUs for
everything if it were not for the ability to "create fiat currency". This
creation will diminish wealth and cause inflation in time, inevitable at
this juncture.

In fact, between cities, counties, states and federal governments between
Canada and the USA there are many dozens in California's position of being
broke and in essense bankrupt. Raising taxes is what many will do,
especially those living beyond their means. Government has the same
debt-denial sickness as many families have.

The cardinal sin of government is cutbacks and live inside their means.
Right now governments are playing russian roulette. And as the game goes
on, the odds of survival dimish. If you play russian roulette long enough,
you will lose. Might even loose on round one.

The current "market" recovery is a false recovery, it is investors with the
wisdom that know holding lots of cash and lender side of bonds in an
inlfationary period is stupid money proposition. Any time the markets and
gold go up in lock step, inflation is looming as money tends to want to
avoid inflationary currency dilution.

GDP and unemployment are still going down. In fact, this fall I predict
will have even worse numbers as much of the north of USA and Canada is
getting a lower job lose as it is building season, which will not be true
from September to March.

I don't see a real recovery is possible until beyond 2011, and I define real
recovery as GDP growth is larger than inflation. Government wants us to
believe any GDP growth is the end, but if GDP grows by 1% and inflation is
10%, then in fact you are still in real value terms in a -9% recession.
Even though government BS says it is over.

Government is going to try to raise taxes any way it can and voters allow
them. In fact, they may even ignore votors such as they did with BO
(Bailout Obama) and the bank/GM bailout slush funds.

other guy. A few years later once estabished, they notch it to include 2%,
then 4% and in like Canada you don't have to make that much more than the

neighborhood given time and statism government greed. Politicians are

I hear his lips move, but I see different in legislation and Obama's
spending habits. It used to be called a liar when you did that. What is

Have Obama define in an un*******ised and precise way in law what wealthy
really means. To greedy cash starved government the definition is going to
be the same as yours.

Canada added a tax bracket some 25 years ago that taxed just the top
percentage or two. Today you only need to earn 10% above average to make
that rate. Over time it will be a screw turn on the middle class as 1%
become 5% becomes 10% becomes 40% etc.

It even drives medical costs higher. Tax a rich dentist more, he will just
jack up the rates to get the same or more net. Either that or live with
rotten teeth. In fact, many costs in society will behave just like that
removing America from the economically viable places to live.

Americans have it so damned good, Obama supporters for the most part I bet
are much less traveled than non-Obama supporters. For if so, they would
realize more people benefit much more from an American economic model than a
UK or Canadian one. I am one of those rare birds that has lived in all
three. And the US is under attack from within.

I just hope your average voter pulls his head out of their arses before 2010
and 2012. I would hate to see our good neighbor get sucked into statism and
taxation slavery.

Only the lazy, weak minded and poorly educated could possible support
statism and health care the Obama way.

get like free new cars, free homes, free food, etc. All which I heard
supports say he promised.

Well, Obama has no excuses, lib-dim senate, lib-dim congress and he
is a dim-witt that shoots his mouth off with lots of promises and no
results. Bush had a dim congress if I recall correctly, they like
printing and creating debt.

Looks like Obama is taking this to a whole new level. Lib-dims are
now setting new records for government debt and inflation creating
money creation. This will prevent any real recovery of the middle
class.

One good thing, there will be fewer boats on the lakes due to wealth
robbing lib-dimwit economics.


Obama is a dimwit? And that places you where on the intelligence
scale? Somewhat below pond scum?

Obama has committed to not raise the income taxes of those earning
less than a certain amount. He has also stated he will raise the
taxes of those earning more.

My gripe about that: he won't raise the taxes on the wealthy enough.

If you believe that commitment, what will be your rationale when he
signs a tax bill on the middle class (by his definition, anyone making
less than $250,000)? That Bush made him do it?

When he does, will you promise to stop posting political commentary,
on this and other forums, never to return? If he does not during his
first term, I'll do the same.

Now, just how much faith do you have in your chosen one?


Wafa will not deal, he will deflect. And even if he did heal, he is not
good for it...

He'll make the deal all right. He just won't live up to his promises.
