I hope they leave the road across the top of the dam open when the
bridge is finished. I've driven over that a few times and it is a

Yes, the purpose is to allow the semi traffic that is now diverted to
Laughlin to use this route again. The people who take the exits off the
divided road will lessen the amount of traffic actually on the dam, and
lessen the general cluster jerk considerably.
