I have observed over many years that, were we to make generalisations, power
boaters tend to identify themselves as more "conservative," whilst sailors
tend to think of themselves as more "liberal."

As a stinkpotter, (and darn proud of it), I'm sure that most people who know me
would consider me an extreme conservative.
