You're cheering a profit based almost entirely on debt restructuring?

I'm all for the recovery of the auto industry, but let's see some
profits based upon sales, not moving around numbers on a spread sheet,
or selling off of assets.

They are getting their ship in order without help from the big "O".
That's what I am cheering about.
(plus, I bought a bunch of Ford stock a while back, fully expecting the
demise of GM and Chrysler)

My son just bought a new Ford Fusion. It's not the hybrid version, but it
still delivers surprisingly decent fuel mileage. His is the "sport" model.
I'll tell you, Ford is doing a good job. It's every bit as nice as a BMW 5
series.

I've a feeling that will change once Obama gets the news. With big
enough subsidies, GMC and Chrysler can reduce prices to the point that
Ford loses sales. I've no doubt Obama would play that game.

I've got my eye on a 2010 Mustang. There is no way I am buying a GM or
Chrysler vehicle.
