He doesn't. The high point of FlaJim's life was his time in the navy, swabbing decks or whatever they let low brain output types do there. FlaJim is a frightened old man without a life, without a boat, without a job, stuck in inland Florida, where no active person lives not affiliated with UofF or Dizzyworld lives. What I charge is entirely up to me. I have a couple of clients who pay hourly, two who pay a monthly fee, and occasionals who pay by the project. I farm out graphics work to an artist who used to work for me but decided after her second kid was born to go freelance.
