This place used to be close to me, now they've moved on the other side
of town. Very cool place, very knowledgable people, they'll deal, and
it's just a cool ass place! What do you think of some of their used
guitar prices? I've always found them to be right in line.

my mental telepathy isn't what it used to be ......

what place?

Forgot the link:www.galaxymusicusa.com

I am still a newbie at judging values, but they seems to be reasonable and
pretty much in line with the pricing structure I am developing at my shop..
I use several sources to determine value, including the "Vintage Guitar
Pricing Guide, 2009". *It establishes a value range, but only for guitars in
"excellent" condition. *You then need to adjust for actual condition.

I also search the 'net and see what certain items are selling for and then
arrive at a price that I think is fair and reasonable. * Right now I am on
the hunt for a PSR.

I am having fun and meeting a lot of interesting people. *It's only been a
month but I am actually starting sell stuff. * Still buying more than I sell
though.

The shop has taken a direction that I like quite frankly. *It appeals more
to the professional bands and not the teenaged, rock star wannabies. *I
lucked out when I rented the space I have because the woodwork throughout
adds a warm atmosphere and "feel" that is quite different from your typical,
large retail music store. *Virtually everybody that comes in comments on it.
I can see that I'll be focusing more on higher end players and a few vintage
collectables, rather than on Fender Squires and Gibson clones.

Met a very interesting person who had heard about the shop and wandered in
late yesterday.
I was shocked. *But, he/she was really down to earth and loved the place.
Bought something too.
I'll provide details at a later date. * Maybe.

It's fun.
