I've always found them to be right in line. my mental telepathy isn't what it used to be ...... what place? Eisboch Forgot the link:www.galaxymusicusa.com I am still a newbie at judging values, but they seems to be reasonable and pretty much in line with the pricing structure I am developing at my shop.. I use several sources to determine value, including the "Vintage Guitar Pricing Guide, 2009". *It establishes a value range, but only for guitars in "excellent" condition. *You then need to adjust for actual condition. I also search the 'net and see what certain items are selling for and then arrive at a price that I think is fair and reasonable. * Right now I am on the hunt for a PSR. I am having fun and meeting a lot of interesting people. *It's only been a month but I am actually starting sell stuff. * Still buying more than I sell though. The shop has taken a direction that I like quite frankly. *It appeals more to the professional bands and not the teenaged, rock star wannabies. *I lucked out when I rented the space I have because the woodwork throughout adds a warm atmosphere and "feel" that is quite different from your typical, large retail music store. *Virtually everybody that comes in comments on it. I can see that I'll be focusing more on higher end players and a few vintage collectables, rather than on Fender Squires and Gibson clones. Met a very interesting person who had heard about the shop and wandered in late yesterday. I was shocked. *But, he/she was really down to earth and loved the place. Bought something too. I'll provide details at a later date. * Maybe. It's fun. Eisboch "Right now I am on the hunt for a PSR. " PSR, Richard do you mean PRS? Paul Reed Smith? |

Eisboch Yeah, Galaxy, although quite big, doesn't really cater to the young thrasher rock star wannabe's either, as you can tell by their equipment lineup. Great place, VERY knowledgeble staff. |

Didn't you read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil or see the film, or both? :) Great book, terrific movie, and the latter so, so, so "out of character" for its time for those who thought they knew "all about" Clint Eastwood. :) Never heard of it. Looked at a review, and it appears to be a very sordid story. Although I already get plenty of that sordid stuff thrown at me here and in news accounts of Gov Sanford, I put it in my Netflix queue, because Spacey's in it. Besides, my wife likes sordid stories, being a Lifetime network fan and all. --Vic |

Savannah has been one of our favorite places to visit stay for a few days for many years. Parts of the city are simply beautiful, plus there are good restaurants, and *interesting* people. If we lived in the south again, the Savannah, Charleston, and Hilton Head areas would be at the top of the list. Spacey, as you might guess, is terrific in the movie. |
