From what little I've read of his background his weirdness may have been the result of too much pressure at too young of an age .... primarily by his parents. He certainly was a strange man. I wasn't a fan...I thought he appealed to the generation behind most of us. He was popular though...his songs were broadcast over the radio almost non-stop when he was at his height. |
