So what's new in politics? Republican Family Values. If you're going to run on it, it's not smart to slap it in the face. If you're going to talk about ****ing states, let's talk about Bush ****ing the country. Oh, well maybe you havent' noticed, but *that gets talked about a lot on rec.boats. In fact it probably won't die for quite a while. When you set yourself as a purveyor of moral righteousness, it's a long fall when you prove yourself as fallible and weak as a scum bag who'd never dare put himself up for such a fall. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Oh that's easy to figure out. But if that's the case then if one puts themselves up as not a purveyor of moral (and that goes beyond sexual, too) righteousness, then if one falls short it's OK because it's expected? Well, actually I suppose I answered my own question, because if there is no moral purveyorship then there;s really nothing to fall short of.... So everything is cool and in wide open territory. You can hold yourself to whatever standard you like, but when you trade on righteousness to get votes or money, you damned well better toe the line or else. It's like signing up for the military. If you've offered yourself up for the job, you damned well better do it. |

Republican Family Values. Are you so blinded that you don't realize that democrats do the same thing, or are you just stupid? the difference is that democrats don't go around trying to ram their religion down peoples' throats all the while proclaiming their views are those of god almighty Yeah right! It all depends upon what you believe in and what you pray for. Please let me win this next election, I'll do anything to ensure I win. I will pray at the alter of Global Warming even though I know Global Warming is a bunch of crap. I will pray at the alter of Planned Parenthood even though I know that killing babies is wrong. The list goes on and on and on... |
