The WWII ended before he got a chance to fly combat missions. Korea? Different story - 85 combat missions as an artillery spotter in one of those O-1B/C (Cessna 170) type aircraft the Marines flew during Korea. Probably is one of the best examples of why there are only former Marines, not ex-Marines. |
