I have no idea what hpa is. 93 % means it's raining like cats and dogs. Did you know that -17.7 degrees Canadian is 0 degrees American? and -40C and -40F are the same thing? I didn't know that. Now you do. Next up: The Kelvin scale. Eisboch Here's the question: Is there a 40 degrees Kelvin? Eisboch |

Eisboch Unlike the degree Fahrenheit and degree Celsius, the kelvin is not referred to as a "degree", nor is it typeset with a degree symbol; that is, it is written K and n |

Now you do. Next up: The Kelvin scale. Eisboch Here's the question: Is there a 40 degrees Kelvin? Depends on how you look at it. Kelvin is a unit by and of it'self because it's an absolute value - not relative. Absolute zero is absolute zero. In that sense, it has no relevance to anything but it'self therefore there is no such thing as a "degree" - a Kelvin is a Kelvin. However, it is a measure of temperature in relative terms as compared to other units of measure - like Celcius. Using degree in conjunction with Kelvin is acceptable in reference to other measurement standards. Or so I've been told. :) Ommmmmmmm........... |
