I'll bet a dollar that the 14-year-old Palin, Pinecone, or whatever her

I'll bet a dollar that you are institutionalized by 2012.

Not very sure of yourself.

David Letterman is a pervert as much as all people who live in rural
areas are perverts.

I just got around to watching the show, it was on my Replay.
The NOW should have been upset about the rest of his monolog as much
as that joke. The Britney Spears joke was pretty hard too.

BTW his guest that night was Howard Stern so I guess he has just given
up on the feminist vote.

Comedians have been making bad jokes about "celebrities" and their
foibles since...well...since there were comedians and celebrities. I
didn't see Letterman's show, but I thought I read the "Spears" joke was
about the other Spears gal - Jamie. Well, what the hell...both Spears'
gals have made themselves into jokes.

Mama Palin should have been named 2008's Worst Mother of the Year by NOW
and any other women's groups that care about women's rights

The modern GOP is little more than an army of moral absolutists led by a
gang of moral nihilists.

You better believe it! Harry has tried to tell people here for years
that the suburbian area in Maryland where he lives is rural!

Sounds like Harry has been reading such distinguists tabloids as
People, Star and maybe even the National Enquirer!

I agree they have set themselves up for jokes and that is what guys
like Letterman do but I can also understand why feminists get ****ed.

Ethnic jokes also bring the wrath of their advocate organizations.

I think it a bit funny that Palin is getting support from feminists,
since she is precisely the sort of stereotypical ditz they disdain. I
have to admit, though, I appreciate her efforts to stay in the news. She
and her family are the perfect antidotes to those who might think the
"new, modern, conservative GOP" is recycling.

Republican conservatism is so far out of the mainstream, it is serving
as a drainage ditch somewhere.

I really got the idea that NOW's complaints about Letterman long
predated the Palin joke.

Aha. Well, I can't say I stay up to watch any of those "late night"
shows. By 11:30, I usually am in the land of nod. I used to watch Johnny
Carson, who I thought was the best comic on TV. But I gave up on late
night soon after he retired. I thought Letterman tried too hard, and
Leno was just not very subtle.

I have Dave on the Replay (DVR). That way I can skip over the dumb
stuff and the miniseries length drug commercials. I usually just watch
the monolog, the top 10 and the occasional decent guest.

His most recent interviews with McCain and O'Reilly were pretty
danged entertaining.

The Jaoquin Phoenix interview was other worldly. Letterman made me
laugh hard.
