As for my F150 Yamaha outboard, it is entirely correct I do no serious maintenance on the engine. I keep it clean, inside and out, and I change the oil and filters mid-season, and grease what needs to be greased. The dealer repeats these tasks and performs others when the engine is winterized. It's an expensive, complicated outboard, and to do any serious maintenance on it requires special training, a computer and program that "reads" what is going on in the engine, *and* specialized tools. I don't have that training, the computer/program or the specialized tools. Further, I have a five year warranty on the engine. If anything goes wrong, the dealer will fix it, and gladly. This is what happens when you have a good outboard motor, a warranty, and a dealership that stands behind its sales. Of course, neither you nor loogy have a boat rig that is worth anything, if you have a rig at all. |

A friends kid just got in an auto accident because he was looking at his cell phone. So, lets think of ways to make cell phones not work in cars. $100 fine for anyone caught using and driving unless an emergency (involving blood) and if the user gets caught lying about the emergency, an additional $500 tacked on. Probably a lot of return dumbass customers. great source of revenue for the state and local gov'ts. For people caught texting while driving, officer is allowed to drag the offender out the window by the hair and pistol whip them. Also applies to people putting on makeup, reading the paper, leaning over the back seat beating the kids, wacking thier pud, etc. Yes Virginia, a lot of people ARE too stupid to take care of themselves. If you're doing anything other than driving, you're putting my life in jeopardy.
