"John H" wrote in message ... Dick, how old are the SL3 speakers (which now have a price attached)? -- John H John, the SL3s are just about 8 or 9 years old. They spent about 6 years in the boxes they came in because I didn't have the proper room to put them in. These speakers sound beautiful but they are very sensitive to how you set them up. They almost need a dedicated listening room for the full benefit of what they can sound like. Set up properly though, they sound live, particularly for classical and acoustic music. The SL3s were one of the most popular in the high end Martin line. There were several models much more expensive (and bigger), but the SL3 was highly regarded by audiophiles. Eisboch |
