Besides, we live in a major metropolitan area with many live music venues. If I want to visit a musical instrument shoppe, I sure as hell wouldn't drive up to your dippy little town. Besides, while I like the sound of B3's and have for far longer than you have, my preference in organs for many years has been for pipe organs. I especially like this development: http://download.trinity-global.edges...d/c060803H.asx -- The modern GOP is little more than an army of moral absolutists led by a gang of moral nihilists. |

You're what, about 40 miles from Boston? How often do you drive into Boston to see live, top-drawer professional musical performances? Once every two years? When I lived in Albany, we drove over to Lenox at least three times one summer. The Julliard String Quartet is playing there later this month...are you going? I would if I lived where you do...what is it, a two hour drive? I actually saw two Maldonado guitars for sale in a local music instrument store in the DC some years ago. Got anything like that at your shoppe? Armik plays a Maldonado...ever even *hear* of either, up there in Duxbury? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dP0GCVhLMUY or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RCPY...eature=related -- The modern GOP is little more than an army of moral absolutists led by a gang of moral nihilists. |

You see, I've done some research on guitars including the purchase of two comprehensive encyclopedias dedicated to guitar brands, types, manufacturers and their histories. I study them just about daily. That said, I'd have no reason or purpose to buy and inventory a Maldonado. It would collect dust. My budding music shop business is geared towards a range of instruments of interest to the majority of people, not an elitist, narrow minded snob who turns his nose up to anything that does not meet *his* standards. You know. Normal, decent people. I also desire to offer decent instruments that are affordable. Currently the most expensive guitar in my inventory is a mint, 2006 Martin HD28V. It is a vintage series Martin, built to the pre-WWII Martin D-28 specifications. I acquired it and another guitar from a professor (jazz composition) at the Berklee College of Music in Boston who I had met for another reason about a year ago. He and his wife visited our home in Duxbury Friday and we enjoyed a couple of hours discussing guitars and music in general. You see, we also have access to some cultural influences. We are just not snobs about it. Eisboch |
