What gets me is how Blago called it.
How many times did you hear him say he was being railroaded so Quinn
could raise taxes?
Blagojevich - most honest politician in Illinois.
Good hair too.
And maybe the poorest. Poor politicians are usually the most honest.
Real family man too.
They're really trying to break him.
He's got his wife working on a TV show to keep the kids fed.

when Blagojevich was doing it, at the same time all the players
in the Hillary Clinton NY Senate seat appointment were doing the same
thing. Why didn't he tap Caroline Kennedy's phone calls?
The ONLY difference is Fitzgerald wasn't tapping the phones in NY.
Then blabbing about the taps in a news conference.
Highly prejudicial. Lincoln rolling over in the grave and all that.
Fitz is a maroon going after a poor honest guy like Blago.
It's going to be a VERY interesting trial.
Blago is broke, and never had any wealth.
Denny Hastert is the guy who should be in the dock.

Even my Rep friends think Hastert is a crook.

Blago's brother was a proxy, working on his behalf. You can sell a
seat but if you get caught, you're screwed.

Evidently, those that are better connected have more sophisticated
methods of selling influence. If you try to play any game, business
or otherwise, and lack the resources, you're gonna be left open to
risk.

That was Blago's downfall. He wasn't well enough connected and didn't
have the intelligence behind him to be so aggressively corrupt.

because of name cache and her ability to raise money for the Dems. Did
you hear that money changed hands for the appointment?

JJ can be. Note how he fell into oblivion after Blago's indictment.

I read elsewhere Quinn planned to sock the $+100k income crowd.
Not sure though.
I'm not up on state tax rates, but was pleased when Illinois didn't
tax some retirement money I took from my IRA.
Just found out this year they don't tax that.
A much wealthier friend is happy about that too, and seemed to imply
it's unusual for an "income tax" state.
I didn't really look into it. Scared.

oncerning the link tax percentages, you could be correct, but it seems
