1965 Evinrude "fastwin" 18hp that runs like a top. But recently the
prop started slipping (seems like it anyway), give it the gas and the engine revs up but with no increase in the boat's speed. I've been looking through the archives here and read a lot about a rubber insert or hub of some sort that wears out . Well I have my prop here in my hands and I don't see any rubber anything in there. However, the slot where the shear pin sits is chipped a little, could that be the cause? Or is the rubber hub thing somewhere in the prop where I can't see? Anyway thanks in advance for any input. dan |

Is there a distinction between these "****heads" and youself? Or do the ****heads and the dwarfs know more about boats than you do and you have been left out in the rain to make stupid remarks to people you don't even know. dan |
