To deodorize fishing tackle, use trichloroethylene. Comes in cans
labled Gun Scrubber, brake cleaner, tuner cleaner. This will remove
all oils and everything dissolved in them. The water soluble stuff
goes as soon as the lure gets wet.

they passed away, Bmy wife and I were the main caregivers of my two
aging parents. i know that in your case you take care of your dad very
well. and to me that's honorable.
