Which manufactures of 15-20' boats DON'T use GM motors. I have a certain
issue with the taxpayers blood sucking issue.

Yes and parts *might* become an issue some day but I doubt it.



agreed. there's a blue-jillion small block Chevy engines out there,
with plenty of aftermarket parts for everybody. Even if the boat mfj's
switch horses for something else, stuff will or maybe I need to say,
"should" be available for years to come.

I have a 1979 Mercruiser 170 hp four. The pistons from a GM big block
might fit: at least the cylinders are the same volumn. The big block
of the fours. It has low hours and I probably won't live long enough
to wear it out.

You can get all the 410 inch aluminum small blocks you want from the
sprint car vendors.
