Visually, they seem to be very top-heavy, but if that were really a problem, they would have been redesigned by now. There's really not a lot of weight up there at roof level. They only look top heavy because they are narrow and high. They were designed for making deliveries in narrow European city streets. In fact, the rear doors open a full 270 degrees and are held against the sides with magnets for backing into narrow side streets to make deliveries. But even the RV version like we have, on the longer, extended wheelbase, higher roof and with an air conditioner mounted on it is not top heavy in the least when driving. Eisboch |
