Fortunately if you know how, you can make your own tax free beer and bypass
the socialist march in this particular tax.

We Canadians pay $20 and up for a 12 pack, and stand in line for health care
with waits as long as 2 years. And 3 times what Americans pay for hard
liquor. Jim Beam, $45 a bottle. So I gave up drinking, figure between a
boat and booze, booze looses. Certainly lowers the standrad of your
lifestyle and I am lucky, I can afford a boat.

When Obama's promises are fulfilled, you will wonder where your pay cheque
went. The gross will look great, but the net will suck. Price of statism
and liberalism.

"Beer is proof God loves us."

Benjamin Franklin

My state (Utah) changed its liquor laws this year. It now allows for liquor
by the drink instead of the archaic "clubs", and all that falderal. It also
has changed the laws regarding home beer brewing so that any person can brew
up to 200 gallons without doing anything special tax wise or registering
with the government wise, or otherwise. I have no clue how they monitor the
amount a person brews.

I am considering setting up a microbrewery and trying it.

Damn stuff in the stores is getting ridiculous. In the state liquor store
system, a bottle of regular strength beer is about $1.50 a bottle. "Near
beer" is sold at the convenience stores, but will give you a bladder
explosion before a buzz. The state is historically against drinking, but
really in favor of the taxes and income from the infidels and "Jack Mormons"
who drink.

I just stop in Mesquite, Nevada, at a real liquor store and stock up.
Liquor prices in Utah at the State owned stores run about 40% higher than
normal states, and selection sucks.

May be able to avoid federal taxation altogether unless they put hefty taxes
on the ingredients. Then, I'll probably go to hydroponic herb. Medical
reasons, of course.

That is very close, but if the people I saw in the restaurant at the
fancy yacht club in Halifax are an indication of the average boater in
Halifax, the residents in Marathon Key are all youngsters. I swear, it
looked like the average age of the people eating in the restaurant was
about 85. Even the wall where they showed the current and past
Commodores looked like photos from the local nursing home. Most of the
Commodores I have seen in other yacht clubs are "youngsters" in the
40's-50's. I hope the Commodores in that club have one hell of strong
staff, because they would consider the day a success if they were able
to crawl out of bed.

ahhh Johnny...you're quite the enabler.
These days I'm using Outlook Express and I go to 'Message' and then 'Block
Sender' when I don't want to see effluent from certain objectionable
agitators.

Man, if you bitch like this about taxes in the US, you must be
a
well-known quantity in your neighborhood.

What's the equivalent of the John Birch society in Canada?
Don't currently live in the US, but did for almost 10 years.
Don't
know
John Birch Society at all.

Wait until Obama statism catches up to Canada, then you will
understand.
Canada is way to the left of the US. Do you hide from your
neighbors?
I believe Canuck57 lives in Alberta... our version of Texas.
And you live in Halifax. Canada's version of Marathon Key.
Idiot...closer to a smaller, country cousin of Boston.
You know, Don, if you read/respond to FloridaJim's posts, you are
enabling
him. Same with Reggie, Loogy, ****forbrainsHerring, and the rest of
the
sorry sacks.
I am slowly weeding out the lowest of the lowlifes.....that is the
ones
who
keep trashing my son, who has no part in this foolishness.
I may need to keep a couple around just for a morning laugh.......

You better follow your master's instructions to the letter, dummy.
This prick should be the first to go in Don. Waste of human flesh.
Dk was one of the first.
Trouble is...he and Waylon Smithers keep changing their info so they can
slither up & out.
No big deal...I just flush the toilet when they show their heads above
the
trap and away thay go again.

You need to talk to Harry about how to set up a filter. Heck he is able
to filter people out no matter what they do. That is unless he wants to
comment about a post, and then he forgets he is "filtering" them and
comments about the post inadvertently.

You and DK have been using the same name for ages. Yet Donnie keeps
whining that you're changing your 'info'. I'll bet he's never tried
just filtering on 'Author'. Actually, I'll bet that, like HK, he's
never tried filtering.

Filtering on "author" won't work when assholes like Reggie, DK, *and*
Herring make a minor change in their sender name. You have to do it
another way.

What could be funnier than the asshole Herring offering up computer advice?

Here's a question for you...when Herring sells his boat, will he still
be crapping in rec.boats?
