Hey there! So sorry it's taken me a while to send my race wrap-up!

I have never meet Renee, *I am not related to her in any manner, but she
makes me feel proud of what one person can do when they set their mind
to it.

You must be bursting at the seams with pride for what your daughter has
accomplished. *Talk about making lemon-aid when life give you some lemons.

She is totally astounding. I'm continuously astonished at her ability
to take the bad and make something of it.

I don't know if I mentioned - One of the implants became swollen from,
they thought, scar tissue.. They operated a couple weeks ago to
determine the problem. She'd had a low grade infection that had
apparently been there for a couple months. They had to remove that
breast. Because they were worried, they recommended that both breasts
be removed. My SIL agreed to that.

When Renee woke up from surgery, expecting the scar tissue to be gone
and able to wear the bikini she'd bought, she found both breasts gone.

That was the week right before the race.

She's unreal. And I'm very proud of her.
