Thanks John. It was great talking with you about it Sunday.
Yes, evidently what it meant to dad, was different than what it meant to you or even to me. funny how phrases can change at no given notice. |

I.T.P. around Atlanta stands for Inside the Perimeter, as opposed to O.T.P., Outside of the perimeter! I-285 is a big circle around Atlanta, and people are either Innies or Outies! |

Loog, what John and I were duscussing was in a letter he wrote to Mom while in the army in 1944. I.T.P "usually" means "Individual Transitional Program" Which in later times was available with leaving the service to prepare again for civilian life. But evindently in dad's case it was right after basic training and waiting to be deployed to the Philippines. that's why I said it must have had a different meaning in his generation than it does in mine. Pretty interesting on how things change in different time periods. Now you mentioned going around Atlanta? I wasn't familiar with that ITP or OTP, but I have heard different meanings of the "M.A.T.A.R." |

It's a question I've been asked when meeting people there, Not "What's your name?" or "Are you married?", but "Are you ITP?" lol! Rick |

Crappy town, one of the worst for a large city in the country, and when you fly over it on a clear day at a low altitude, you can see some of the reasons why. What do you see that turns you off of Atlanta, Harry. I've flown into and drove though Atlanta many times and the town didn't bother me. What'd you see? |
