Your buddy with the pawn shop - he have any Olympus OM lenses in decent shape? I want to do some experiments and used lenses are the way to go - I can take 'em apart and not lose a whole lot of money. :) And no - that's not being cheap - that's being practical. |

Hey Sorry I didn't understand you the first time (whats new!) I'll ask him tomorrow,Tom. I don't know if it was an Olympus or not, but he had an SLR outfit he was going to run on ebay, but pulled it because there was moisture (or so he thought) in the lenses. Do you specifically need Olympus, or can you use others like Minolta or Yashica? 50mm on up? |

Do you specifically need Olympus, or can you use others like Minolta or Yashica? 50mm on up? I need older Oly OM lenses - I'm making a camera mount for my 12 inch Celestron telescope to do some astrophotography. I'd buy one, but I'd rather use my film cameras than the digital cameras for this project. A couple of 50mm lenses would be fine. I can't find any up around these parts. If he doesn't have any, no problem - I'll try eBay altough I'll probably pay through the nose for them. |

It sure beats the old HP that I was using, even if this Compaq is "Bigger'n a Buick" a lot better resolution. Ah! I'm finally stepping into the big times! |
