Agreed, but what are we gonna get whether we like it or not?

My state, Arkansas, is but one of many that are clamping down on illegal
employment since the states get hit with the costs of welfare first. It
is, after all, all about jobs.

I just dunno. Wall Mart's doing better by taking business away from all
other retailers, which therefore lays off even more. Who will have money
to even shop at Wall Mart? How much money can the fed create before it
starts a run on the dollar?

Reality check time- leaving aside all issues of law, morality, racism,
and simple human cruelty (to the teenage anchor babies, legal citizens,
that were frigging born here and grew up American, but would end up
getting deported anyway), the simple fact is that we don't have the
ability to deport them all. Not enough judges, cops, jails, or buses to
round them all up and ship them. And we'd just end up feeding them
anyway, either in holding camps here or on the other side of the border.
Mexico and the other larger donor countries are barely holding
themselves together as it is.

I can't hate the illegals too bad. If they hadn't been in a DP camp due
to WWII, my parents likely would not have made the cutoff for Ellis
Island. If they had been wandering around on their own like thousands of
others, they likely would have been sent back, and spent the next 45
years on the wrong side of the curtain. So I have a keen understanding
of what motivates people to walk away from a less-than-functional
country. Like most waves of immigrants, the vast majority only want to
live a quiet life, take care of their families, and stay out of the rain
and out of jail.

Thats inevitable when so many choose to be careful with
their money when Walmart does push low cost goods.

Who will have money to even shop at Wall Mart?

All those who are still employed and most of those on welfare too.

Even during the great depression, we still saw 75% still employed.

A hell of a lot because every other first world country whose currency matters is doing the same thing.
