Default Hold the mayo...

In an attempt to salvage momentum lost from their failed "Teabag the
White House" movement, conservatives are using Cinco de Mayo as an
anti-Immigrant platform.

Cinco de Mayo, which is Spanish for May 5th, has drawn fire from
conservatives who fear the Swine Flu pandemic. Austin, Texas "Hold the
Mayo" organizer Jed McIntyre said something needed to be done. "We knew
that American jobs were being taken by Mexicans, but now that they’re
bringing in that Swine Flu, our lives are under attack too. Cinco de
Mayo is Mexican, therefore a threat and we will boycott Mayonnaise from
May 5th until our borders are secure."

Oh my goodness. Will the stupidity never end?

First they bought and wasted Chinese tea, now they're boycotting an
American made product to protest illegal immigrants?

Well, the teabaggers are trying to build support for their next
non-event, as promoted by Faux News. According to a memo from the head
teabagger, the next issues include health care (they're against it), the
union issue (they're against that, too), and something else...I forgot
what...might have been immigration.

Also, be prepared to hear more about the Nitwits for Jesus...

From KOS:

The irony of the words of the Prince of Peace being delivered by
bayonet-wielding soldiers goes right over their heads. Former Afghan
prime minister Ahmed Shah Ahmedzaihas called for an inquiry after Al
Jazeera broadcast footage showing Christian US soldiers appearing to be
preparing to try and convert Muslims in Afghanistan.

The US Army has responded by saying, "Most of this is taken out of
context ... this is irresponsible and inappropriate journalism."

Yes, it is no wonder the irony goes over their head. Despite being
against US military regulations, as well as being against Afghan law to
proselytize any religion other than Islam to the public, certain members
of the US military seem to be getting their marching orders from another
source.

In the Al Jezeera footage, Sergeant Jon Watt, a future military
chaplain, said during a Bible study class; "I also want to praise God
because my church collected some money to get bibles for Afghanistan.
They came and sent the money out."

It was Jesus himself who said, "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor
hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the
dust of your feet"

Translated, if they don’t want to hear it don’t force it on them; just
keep moving.

But Jesus never had to deal with modern American evangelicals, just as
modern evangelicals never have to deal with the real Jesus. These
glassy-eyed automatons have every intention of shoving the word down the
throats of the long-suffering Afghans, whether they like it or not.

"It's a national security issue ... our constitution says nothing can
take place in Afghanistan against Islam," said Sayed Aalam Uddin Asser,
of the Islamic Front for Peace and Understanding in Kabul.

"Do we know what it means to proselytize?" a military chaplain asks the
gathering.

A soldier replies, "It is General Order Number One."

I thought it was funny when Obama declared the 4th the "Cinco de
quatro" yesterday.

You're comparing a gaff to a teabagger team plan to boycott mayo?

God forbid anyone of those teabaggers had to speak extemporaneously.

Howso? Didn't they study G.W. Bush's great speeches?

I just think it is silly when people fake speaking a language they
don't. Hillary got upside down on this with the Russians a month or so
ago too.

It wasn't Hillary's fault. She presented a "reset" button to her
Russian contemporary and whomever did the translation screwed it up.

At least the Bush boys can habla espanol. I suppose it helps that
Jeb's wife is latina. He wouldn't know what she was calling him when
she was ****ed otherwise.

Also made it easier to communicate with the house help.

Jeb can speak Spanish. There's no evidence Dubya knows more than a few
phrases.

you know they (Obama) took 25 to Europe?
