Maybe your son should drink all your beer. Then you will not kill off
the *fuel brain cells* you have functioning.

How much is your yearly vehicle cost? Did you invest well while
working?

What the 'ell are "fuel brain cells"?
My yearly vehicle cost??
Since my son pays for the 07 Dodge Charger my costs for the 06 Ranger
PU have been low..... maybe $5K for lease payments, insurance &
expensive gas.
My investments were doing well until y'all down there screwed up the
worlds finances.

$5k? You have even fewer brain cells than I thought. Hell, at $250 a
month lease, and I bet is a lot bigger than that, you are sending $3000
a year to the lease company. Probably at least $700 a year for
insurance, and the maintenance costs, plus fuel. You better recheck
your figures.

Duh!
Maintenance costs on a new vehicle driven just over 6K miles a year??
How about 3 oil changes/lube at about $40. each,
Original tires still in great shape with lots of thread....don't have to
replace them when I turn the vehicle back in on the 30th.
My lease was for $269.00 per month + local tax.
As for gas...it is expensive up here ( 87 cents per liter) but I don't
burn too much.

For 6k miles a year. Rent a car when you need one.

Not practical.
The dog wants his daily drive to a local off-leash park.
