Default Happy Anniversaries...

....to me.

I know most of you won't care, but a couple of you might...

I'll be celebrating two anniversaries this year with the two unions in
which I hold membership...

Twenty Five Years as a full dues-paying member with one union, and

Thirty Five Years as a member of another union.

Non-competing unions. Never a break in service.

I'm on "inactive" status with the second union, but still pay a reduced
rate annual dues of a couple hundred dollars, and I am proud to do so.

I'll be a full retiree with my 25-year-member union shortly, and will
only pay "social dues" to my local from now on. That covers my
contribution for the monthly get-together meal and our annual bull roast.

The years, they just flew by. :)

Add my kudos also. That's a *hell* of a lot more impressive than 30
years in the damn Army!

That is an achievement..especially to those who care for others as much as
they care for themselves.
Congratulations.
My BVI buddy and I went to see a couple of old buddies who are stuck long
term in the hospital.
We celebrated our good health with lunch at the local Hooters. That made me
glad to be alive & kicking.

Now there is an idea...we should have our annual "roast" at hooters.
Most of us are too old for anyone to wonder why we are drooling.

Harry makes it sound like important that he held his union card. He
used the union card to be able to get their health insurance benefit. I
too have paid for my health insurance for many years, but I have never
thought it as an Anniversary.
