But I do know I almost threw my neighbor and his damn blackberry out of the boat the first and last time I took him fishing. He's asked since, and I told him he'd have to leave the blackberry at home. He's not mentioned fishing since then. |

I think what really cracks me up more is those folks who walk around the store or the street with a big flashing earpiece on the side of their head.. Really, most of the time the conversation is something like: "What are you doing"?.. "Uh, nothing, what are you doing"? The ones with the blue flashing lights are the best.. "Look at me! Look at me!!" Pffffttt.. |

Tim Fisher =================== You're quite welcome of course. Jeff has done some very cool things with that ActiveCaptain web site. http://www.activecaptain.com/ My brother uses his PDA and a Blackberry with a PCMA (or whatever that slot thingy is called) GPS receiver and Maptech software. I've never been impressed with the GPS performance on the PDA and even out in Narragansett Bay, the Blackberry can be problematic in GPS mode. It's not a question of functionality - it works fine, but the signal aquisition is position dependant - you're constantly fiddling with placement to get the best fix. Not my thing. As a backup, yeah maybe, but not as a main navigation device. -- "I am free of all prejudices. I hate every one equally." W.C. Fields |
