"Wizard of Woodstock" wrote in message news ![]() This is an image my friend Rob Smith took on a recent photo expedition. http://www.swsports.org/images/5mith_080421_1556.1w.jpg Here's the puzzle - which direction is the fence running in terms of North, East, South, or West. Hints: This was taken in New South Wales, Australia and around midnight under natural moonlight. The light bobbing along the fence line was Rob playing with an led flashlight. The direction is dead on in both directions. Have at it. The moon is slightly to the east at the time (4-21-08 23:31:08 UTC +10) and location in question. Since the shadow thrown by the vehicle is to the rear, the vehicle is facing east. Since the vehicle is parked parallel to the fence, the fence runs east-west. Elementary. Yep. As I said to Froggie, I forgot about the whole upside down thing. Whoops... -- Math illiteracy affects 8 out of every 5 people. |
