It was really tough, because the state boys couldn't keep up with it. travel was really hairy. In 36hr.s approx 15-18 inch's which it hasn't snowed here this hard in about 10 years. The city came by they're John Deere backhoe and at least scooped out our driveway, and I got the cars out with little trouble, but seemed like ti took about an hr. to get all the snow off the windows and get everything defrosted so she could make it to work. I wet up to my shop but didn't even attempt to pull in. My sops is t my dad's place and its in the country and located up a quarter mile long lane. I'd estimate that it that it was a good two to three foot drift in some places. i could have trudged my way up to the place and spent a bunch of time trying to get my brothers JD 4020 started, then spend all day trying to blade the lane off, but thought that would be a lot of work for nothing. So, I'm here at home in the warm. But while up at the folks place, I noticed something different with the landscape. After pondering that something was different, It finally occurred to me that the state boys and surgically removed the mail box with a snow blade. Oh well.... |
