Why, for confronting Mrs. Palin with reality? I suppose she is so out
of touch with it, it might upset her. Why would a 15-year-old girl
from a family with financial resources want to remain pregnant? So she
can drop out of high school?

Most middle-class sentients would think Sprocket Palin's "situation"
pretty horrific. Another possibility might be that home life in that
Palin household is so bizarre, Sprocket got pregnant so she could get out
of it.
"Sprocket got pregnant so she could get out of it?"
Harry, that is one of the finest lunatic thoughts I've heard from you
this year.unmarried teen pregnancy isn't a crime to humanity there's
thousands if not millions in the US in that situation as we speak.
the majority will not see abortion,a nd their children will grow up to
have productive lives.
Either you're simply pulling chains for arguments sake, or you truely
have some type of a mind set.

I never said it was a crime to humanity. It is a crime, though, to
saddle a young unmarried girl who hasn't even finished high school with
a pregnancy because her mother is a right-wing nut case.

And you support a womans "right to choose?" Maybe Sprocket "chose"
to keep the child.

No crime in that either

Maybe she did and maybe she didn't. The real issue here, though, is the
mother, not Sprocket. Sprocket is not very bright. Remember, she dropped
out of high school.

Why are you so fixated on teenage pregnancy?
In this case, it is an indicator of how dysfunctional the Palin
family is.

BAR, I've got a strong feeling there was a pregnancy problem somewhere in
daddy Krause's background. That would explain a lot of the issues he
seems
to have with his daughter and his attitude toward kids in general.

Krause's daughter got knocked up and kept the child. I'll bet there was
a fight outside the abortion clinic and Krause was cuffed and take to jail.

You boys are beyond sick. My daughter didn't get married until she was
in her 20's and had her first pregnancy three years after she was
married. We didn't raise any Sprocket Palins in our family.- Hide quoted text -

Harry, why wwould you say that they are "beyond sick?" "They" don't
have a hang up with the Palin pregnancy. So why are you?

Is it that Sprocket didnt' take advantage of liberal policies and seek
a state-funded abortion and didn't have to tell her folks?

Is that it?

I'm beginning to think it is. And if it is, you'd probably think of
excuses to still brand them as low lifes because they did take
advantage of those policies.

With you they are in a no win.

I think Sarah Palin is a low-life. I don't know much about the rest of
her family, but from little I have seen of them, they seem ok, except
perhaps for her hubby Socket Wrench's dalliance with that screwball
Alaskan secessionist group.

I don't have any negative feelings about Sprocket; I view her as a
victim of her mother's ignorance.

Don,
You really need to have a better understanding of simple words before
you get into any discussion. I didn't say you were drawing a civil
servant pension. You may not have been worth it.

Let's start with some basic definitions:

According to the Canadian Government you were a civil servant:

"Canada's public service is a large body, with over 200 departments and
450,000 members, including commissions, councils, crown corporations,
the Office of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada, and the Royal
Canadian Mounted Police."

Now lets look at the definition of Civil Servant:

Civil Servant : "A civil servant or public servant is a civilian public
sector employee working for a government department or agency. The term
explicitly excludes the armed services, although civilian officials will
work at "Defence Ministry" headquarters. The term always includes the
(sovereign) state's employees; whether regional, or sub-state, or even
municipal employees are called "civil servants"

I know you don't want to accept it, but you were a Civil Servant.

GOT IT? I doubt it.

The difference is in the definition of children. Harry Krause likes to
believe it starts once the child is born before birth is "just" a fetus,
and they are disposable at the mother's discretion. It really doesn't
matter what the father thinks, he is only the sperm donor.

Anyone who has lost a child during pregnancy would disagree with him.

I never said it was a crime to humanity. It is a crime, though, to
saddle a young unmarried girl who hasn't even finished high school

What the hell are you sputtering about?

Are you suggesting that Palin "encouraged" her teen-aged kid to get
pregnant or that she didn't insist on an abortion?

Weird as it is to you Harry, not all people believe in abortion and
that doesn't make them nut cases. *It takes more love, support and

Don, you really need to read more about your local and federal goverment.
"Canadian Crown corporations are state-owned enterprises within either the
federal or provincial and territorial jurisdictions of Canada." You were
a civil servant. Got it? I doubt it.

Don, I've followed this discussion without bias. You were a civil servant.
I wasn't, so comparing my military service to your civil service isn't
productive.

There is nothing inherently wrong with being a civil servant. After all, my
wife was one. The difference is that she was very productive.

Don,
You really need to have a better understanding of simple words before you
get into any discussion. I didn't say you were drawing a civil servant
pension. You may not have been worth it.

Let's start with some basic definitions:

According to the Canadian Government you were a civil servant:

"Canada's public service is a large body, with over 200 departments and
450,000 members, including commissions, councils, crown corporations, the
Office of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada, and the Royal Canadian
Mounted Police."

GOT IT? I doubt it.

He probably was neither civil or a servant to the public needs.

Awwwwww.

Why, for confronting Mrs. Palin with reality? I suppose she is so
out of touch with it, it might upset her. Why would a 15-year-old
girl from a family with financial resources want to remain pregnant?
So she can drop out of high school?

*That's* one of *your* mysteries of life.

Most middle-class sentients would think Sprocket Palin's "situation"
pretty horrific. Another possibility might be that home life in that
Palin household is so bizarre, Spocket got pregnant so she could get
out of it.
Why are you so fixated on teenage pregnancy?
In this case, it is an indicator of how dysfunctional the Palin family
is.

Was that also an indicator of a dysfunctional Obama family?

Barack and Michelle didn't meet and marry until both were well out of
their teens.

I suspect Mrs. Obama has already had talks with her eldest daughter about
what used to be called "the facts of life."

I was talking about Barack's mom. She was the one who got knocked up out of
wedlock.
