I visited China (PRC) back in 1986 when they were first experimenting with
the concepts of foreign investments and a subtle shift towards capitalism.

It was an amazing exposure to life under an extreme socialist society.

The average Chinese factory worker had to bow to and worship his employer
who in turn worshiped his provincial mayor for the opportunity to make a
living for his family.

It was sad. And it hasn't changed.

And, it where this country is heading.

And my few liberal friends are not at all concerned about it. One of them,
a good friend, actually said that there were enough right-leaning Democrats
in Congress to keep that from happening.
