I couldn't agree more. It's no different than giving all your personal info
to any stranger on the street. You wouldn't do it on the street, and you shouldn't do it on usenet. When I was a sysop on compuserve, one of the things we were *required* to do was pull any message that had such info. Herring is one of the schitts I filter here, so I only see his crap second hand and then not much of it, since I filter most of his playpen pals, too. I'm not interested in his golf game, his camper, or his grandchildren. He's apparently been posting personal info of others out of his own nastiness, and apparently it bit him in the ass. I've had Herring's address and phone number for years. I think I called him once in 2003 to see if he wanted to go fishing. He was ****ty on the phone, so I never bothered to call him again. |
