defend the lawsuit filed by S.T.U.P.I.D. “What kind of dumb group is
S.T.U.P.I.D.?” asked Freek N. Minute, from his hospital bed where he
is being treated for an undisclosed condition.

Sources in the legal community have reported that S.T.U.P.I.D. has
approached several lawyers about taking the case, but all have
declined. The president of S.T.U.P.I.D is Don Whitewash who told a
local television reporter, “Irregardless, we’s gonna get a fine lawyer
to stop the trappin’ of this beautiful bird, and irregardless if we
can’t find a lawyer, I will represent my own self in court.”

“That should be interesting,” said University of Maryland attorney
Feek N. Minute. “Maybe I should notify both Court TV and the Comedy
Channel.”

The case is to be heard before Judge Thomas S. W. Francois. Judge
Francois’ spokesman, the reserved Loog E. Pickster, citing court rules
of decorum, again declined comment except to say, “What a crock.
That’s one ugly assed bird and I can’t see why anyone would object to
trapping its squawking, pooping ass.”

I've heard that the members of S.T.U.P.I.D. like to imitate the bird
and have even taken to prancing around their habitat just like it.
