What does your GSD do when he hears thunder? My 110 lb GSD would would try
and get under the bed when he heard thunder, firecrackers or other loud
noises. He looked damn funny with his head under the bed and his body,
from the neck to the tail, sticking out.

Currently we have a Beagle mutt male. Worst thunder storm in the world
could go right over our house. He would just stand there.

I always save a bit for him when we're done... sweet revenge. g

Beagle's are interested in only one thing and that is eating. *They ignore
all other stimulus.

My neighbor used to have beagles, and they did a good job of howling
all night.

Occasionally he'd take them rabbit hunting, so he said. Actually I
think he kept them around just to bug the neighborhood.

I've a friend in Tennessee who raises and trains beagles for hunting. When
I once expressed an interest in buying one, he told me to never buy a
beagle that was even associated with hunting beagles. He said they'd drive
me crazy. Best to buy city born and bred from a line of city born and bred.

Don't know if that's true, but I took his advice.

Our male, when he escapes, can be two miles down the road in 5 minutes.
