I just did a cool (as in heat, not "cool" as in being same - which I
am, let's face it) IR conversion of a RAW image I shot yesterday. http://www.swsports.org/Photography/_C050178_IR.jpg Interesting effect. -- Happy Holidays and Merry Whatever It Is That ****es Liberals Off. |

It's interesting, but it looks a little washed out to me. Try doing the same thing to the first fence picture you put up here. And, tell me some great things about my creek picture taken at Seneca Rock, West Virginia. If you're really nice, I'll post a shot of the rocks themselves. -- John H. |

Ok - it's over exposed on the right which suggests that you used the spot meter function instead of the field meter. The total field is under saturated for color with the light coming in from one side rather than from above or from your back - the color washes out going left to right and from top to bottom - suggesting that you needed a higher shutter with a different apateure setting. It also would have helped to use a Neutral Density Filter - probably a factor 4 reducing the f stop by two would have helped a lot - would have made you a little more flexiable in any case. Hey, you asked. :) Here's one I know you'll love: http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l2...g1/TrainGS.jpg Beautiful - great image. -- "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats."
