Most of the mainstream outlets are a bit more subtle. I'm just writing about the "news" programs on Faux. Their commentators, such as Hannity, O'Rally, and soon, Beck, are just plain trash. |

I really think MSNBC is the laughing stock of any sane person. Hey, you can't see Dick Morris make a fool of himself if you don't watch Fox. I'm just writing about the "news" programs on Faux. Their commentators, such as Hannity, O'Rally, and soon, Beck, are just plain trash. They have their news slant, but actually have a better news arm than the other networks from what I've seen. CNN still reigns on the international front. I think Hannity and Beck are idiots. If you can ignore O'Reilly's pomposity - difficult, but doable - he's not bad if you're interested in the subject matter he's discussing. Good polemicist. You actually get different points of view, agree or not. All IMHO. --Vic |

I understood almost immediately. You call O'Rally pompous...I suppose my calling him a gasbag is about the same. My favorite cable commentator is Rachel Maddow. She's very smart, very fast, and very nice. Also very funny. |

I was talking about the Faux News *new* shows at first. Then Hannity and O'Rally came up. They are not newscasters, either. I enjoyed Olbermann skewer Bush like no one else had the balls to do. But I like Maddow more. She's a lot more fun. I'd love to have Rachel and her partner over to dinner. |

I always hear them talking about "being infomed" but at the same time how they won't listen to the other side, just not interested... |
