Nah, we never talked about any of that. Mostly plumbing stuff
and south side Catholic schools.
He does a lot of plumbing work at the schools out there, and since I
grew up near where he's at, we have some things in common.
Mostly plumbing and drain systems though.
He almost stayed for dinner, especially since the wife's Orange
chicken cooking was wafting through the house, but he had a long drive
back. Pump works good.

I even recorded the noise and played it on the phone for Peter
so he could bring a new unit, saving him a trip.
It's AT LEAST a 3 hour round trip, and his time ain't cheap.
He listens to my recording, and says he'll come out to check it.
He say's they never go bad unless they get a rag in them.
ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE!
Only one teen in the house now, and nobody here, or anybody I know
even, is stupid enough to let a rag go down the toilet.
So he drives out and gets to work. We can't duplicate the noise, even
with hot tub water.
But he hears it's not right, and pulls the pump. PITA.
Lays it down on the rags and says "There it is."
A F%^KING RAG IS IN THE PUMP.
He had to dissasemble the pump head to get what was wrapped around the
shaft past the impeller/chopper. Of course everybody denies they did
it, and I believe them.
No choice anyway. Only thing I can figure is a guest soiled their
underwear and took the easy way out. Didn't know everything goes
through a pump. Maybe I should put up a sign.
Peter worked nearly 4 hours and spent at least 3 hours in bad
Chicago/suburb traffic.
Charged me $290, apologizing.
I just said don't......you're a prince of a guy.
