What the %^%$%^!
Good Lord...it's still a month away before winter begins.
Started snowing around 2300 last night and I awoke this morning to 30cm on the ground. What a struggle with the Mickey Mouse electric snow thrower. It's ok from 4" to about 8"...but after that it really bogs down, especially if we have heavy wet snow. I'm sitting here watching my next door neighbour shovelling his driveway and the snow plow coming around filling it back in..hee hee...... So SW Tom .. if that's you sending crap up here again..lay off! ;-) |

Think "Tim Allen" http://elsmar.com/pdf_files/Weird%20...0in%20use.jpeg Whats the GPF, gallons per foot (linear), of snow removed? My friend Harold Foskett built one using a old 42 inch Ariens two stage thrower and a Ford V6 from a junk Taurus he picked up as a wreck. The major problem? It would throw snow like crazy, but at such a rate that the chute would clog - the snow actually melted at the second stage and turned into ice eventually. He could only run it at idle - hardly worth it. |

I hope my wife gets stuck in the snow every day on her commute this winter. That'll convince her to move to Florida. --Vic |

Said when he retired, he went south until the snow ended and stuck his snow shovel the in the ground and went a 1000 miles further. ;) |
