Looks like the Clintons outwitted Obama, and now he has *no* choice but
to appoint her or risk a major backlash in his own party and supporters.
Hope this isn't an indication of a President Obama's negotiating skills

Your conclusions are based upon?
The Clintons have gone out of their way to make the appointment public and
appear to be all but certain..... without actually waiting for Obama's team
to formally make a decision or announcment.
Big Bill has already agreed to cooperate fully in the vetting process, and
Hillary's staff has routinely leaked that the process is well underway.
If he choses Richardson or someone else instead, the Hillary followers are
going to scream bloody murder. Dissed twice.
They have him boxed in pretty nicely.

This is really funny. When you are vetted by the FBI for a high level
job, all manner of people are contacted about you. There are dozens of
people who have been contacted about Hillary for this potential job. But
Hillary or Bill leaked it. Right.- Hide quoted text -

They don't tell you what JOB the person is being vetted for. Only
that they are investigating.

Gee...you think some of those being asked questions about Clinton are
smart enough to know she is being considered for Secretary of State?

Nah.

More likely 4 years. With the economic meltdown going on, he is
probably a one term POTUS.

He's either going to be a hero or get the bum's rush.

Unfortunately for all the idealists like Harry who are anxiously awaiting
all kinds of social reforms, it just ain't gonna happen.

The state of the economy will be the only measuring stick for Obama's
successes or failures.
Everything else has become secondary.

I wish him luck. I sure wouldn't want the job.

My "reform" agenda includes very few items that will cost serious money.

They just won't be high on the priority list.

That's right...there will be no White House support for efforts to
restrict abortion.

There will be no White House support for curtailing stem cell research.

There will be no White House support for efforts to deny science.

GITMO will be closed.

The NLRB will represent workers and management, not just management.

We will have an actual plan and actual schedule for getting out of Iraq.

Many of the most restrictive and onerous provisions of the unPatriot Act
will be flushed.

Et cetera.

Right...no one being questioned by the FBI regarding Mrs. Clinton know
she is under consideration for Secretary of State. Thhat's because they
all live in...South Carolina.

The former POTUS and first lady and sitting Senator do not need to be
vetted by the FBI.

The Obama is out of his league. The White House staff is full of Clinton
Administration retreads. The cabinet will be filled with Clinton
supporters. The Obama is being manipulated and he doesn't even know it.

I doubt he'll have eight years of failure in about every area of
importance, ala Bush.

You are correct, he will only have four years of failure.
