I used to put a bit of motor oil in the sparkplug holes of my old British Seagulls...now, with my 25 hp 2stroke Johnson, I spray fogging oil into the carburator until it stalls out and then take the sparkplugs out and spray the fogging oil in the 2 cylinders. I doubt my 2003 outboard is worth near as much as yours. ;-) At some point you might want to read your owners manual...section on winter layup. |

As for the Seagulls....they always spewed out blue smoke thanks to the 10:1 ratio. I should clamp the 3 hp Seagull onto the Yukon transom next year just to see if it still works. Haven't had it running in about 10 years. |
