I'm sure there's a way to build one yourself. But by the time you
factor the material costs, their shipping and the effort to assemble and
test it, you may find it simpler just to buy a ready-made solution.
Especially since mistakes here run the risk of FRYING your VHF radio,
the AIS receiver or BOTH.

AIS + VHF to ONE antenna
 
Just to bring your project to the next level. We sell VHF splitters
which split the signal to you VHF, FM radio and AIS transponder
(EasySPLIT ocb). To be able to connect a AIS transponder via a
splitter to one VHF antenna, the splitter should be capable of very
fast switching. Have fun.
