Default SCS PCT-IIex 1040 or 1041?

Anyone know the difference between the PCT-IIex 1040 and 1040 other than
about $160?

Does this help?

I do recall one of the oldest models couldn't have upgraded firmware

Well I finally figured it out. The 1040 is the IIex with the Pactor III
demo and the 1041 has the license.

Trust me on this one, you really do want Pactor III. Big performance
difference in real world conditions, that's my experience.
