In other words is the transponder unique to a specific receiver? Just curious A depth sounder transmits a brief ultrasonic pulse, then listens for its echo, using the same transducer. If two sounders were connected to the same transducer, the high-powered transmitted pulse from one sounder would overload, and probably damage, the sensitive receiver in the other. -- Peter Bennett VE7CEI email: peterbb4 (at) interchange.ubc.ca GPS and NMEA info and programs: http://vancouver-webpages.com/peter/index.html Newsgroup new user info: http://vancouver-webpages.com/nnq |
