I LOVE this old handheld GPS, but its internal Lithium batt just gave up and I
am tired of paying $50 to get it replaced. Yes, I have had the mod which
extends Lithium battery life, but it still eats em every couple of years. The
case is a mystery. Not ANY visible means of opening. I have read that they
(aftermarket service people who still handle Micrologic) break the case with
injected air pressure and give you a new one when the set is in for repairs.
That sounds crazy, but is it true? Any help appreciated.
