Unique Battery Connector wanted
For some reason my earlier message last week on this topic was never
posted. If the Moderator removed it, PLEASE do not remove, this is a boat electronics item. Looking for a solid bronze battery post connector. I purchased some several years ago, and now cannot find the source. The usual places (West Marine, Downwind Marine, Ample Power, etc) have no idea what I am talking about. The connector is all bronze, and resemble an inverted "shot" glass with a 1/2" threaded stud protruding from the "bottom". It fits over and conceals the battery post, and then four screws are tightened which secure it firmly to the post. The annular space between the post and the bronze adapter is the filled with grease via a zerk fitting. The battery cable terminal is then secered to the threaded stud. This design virtually eliminates all corrosion and rusting steel, as there are no steel bolts. If anyone has a source it would be appreciated. Mitch sv KOMFY |

Your message did appear. Not sure why you didn;t see it. There
is no moderator as such on this list. I've never seen the device you are referring to. Personally, it doesn't sound like a good system IMHO. Probably why you can't find them. I purchased a few of those fittings about ten years ago at West Marine. We
used them on a Cascade 29. They were of high quality and worked great. The cost, as I remember, was a bit high. I heard, about five or six years ago, that they were no longer being made. Rusty O |

I saw your message somewhere, and someone posted a source. Maybe check any
other groups you posted it to. -- Keith __ "A whim, once watered with imagination, becomes a dream and the best time to take your first step toward a dream is always yesterday; the worst time: tomorrow.
