For some reason my earlier message last week on this topic was never
posted. If the Moderator removed it, PLEASE do not remove, this is a boat electronics item. Looking for a solid bronze battery post connector. I purchased some several years ago, and now cannot find the source. The usual places (West Marine, Downwind Marine, Ample Power, etc) have no idea what I am talking about. The connector is all bronze, and resemble an inverted "shot" glass with a 1/2" threaded stud protruding from the "bottom". It fits over and conceals the battery post, and then four screws are tightened which secure it firmly to the post. The annular space between the post and the bronze adapter is the filled with grease via a zerk fitting. The battery cable terminal is then secered to the threaded stud. This design virtually eliminates all corrosion and rusting steel, as there are no steel bolts. If anyone has a source it would be appreciated. Mitch sv KOMFY |
