Does anyone know a website with sea charts of France and the UK available free.
Or is there a cheeep system of getting charts onto my laptop anywhere? Any
suggestions?

Cheeep? A dickie bird told me that the Maptech CD-Roms, at £100 each, or
less if you are prepared to haggle a bit, contain enough charts to represent
very good value.
