Default Magellan DBR

I just bought a Magellan DBR Differential receiver for $49 from West
Marine - I would like to set this up with my Garmin 45 handheld which
supports DGPS -but i am not sure what to set the unit to for communication
with the DBR. Any ideas?

I have the wiring diagram, but cannot seem to make the 2 units talk to each
other. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Dave

PS - i know that an inexpensive WAAS receiver will work better, but being
cheap and the DBR being such a steal - it was worth the try!

Connect the beacon receiver's data out to the GPS data in, and vice
versa. The GPS interface mode should be set to "RTCM/NMEA", if I
recall correctly.
